TERMS OF SERVICE

These Terms of Service govern your use of JK Services' mechanical services and our website. By booking work with us or using this site, you agree to the terms set out below.

01SERVICES PROVIDED

JK Services offers mechanical services and repairs, including major and minor services, engine overhauling, brakes, shocks, clutch kits, wheel bearings, and gearbox repairs. All work is performed by qualified technicians using industry-standard parts and procedures.

02QUOTES AND PRICING

Quotes are provided free of charge and are valid for 30 days unless otherwise stated. Pricing is based on the scope of work requested and the vehicle condition assessed at the time of quotation.

Should additional work be required beyond the original quote, we will contact you for authorisation before proceeding. No additional charges will be incurred without your approval.

03BOOKINGS AND APPOINTMENTS

Appointments can be scheduled via our website, by phone, or by visiting the workshop in person. We ask that you provide at least 24 hours' notice for cancellations or rescheduling so we may offer the slot to other customers.

04PAYMENT

Payment is due upon completion of work unless a separate arrangement has been agreed in writing. We accept cash, EFT, and major debit and credit cards.

Vehicles will not be released until payment has been received in full. Outstanding accounts may incur interest at the prescribed rate under the National Credit Act.

05WARRANTY

Workmanship is warranted for 6 months or 10 000 km, whichever occurs first. Parts supplied carry the manufacturer's original warranty.

The warranty does not cover damage arising from accident, misuse, neglect, modification, or failure to perform recommended maintenance after a repair.

06CUSTOMER OBLIGATIONS

By booking work with JK Services you agree to:

  • Provide accurate information about your vehicle and its condition
  • Remove any valuable personal belongings before handing over the vehicle
  • Collect the vehicle within 5 working days of completion. Storage fees may apply thereafter
  • Disclose any existing faults, modifications, or recent work performed elsewhere

07LIABILITY

JK Services carries appropriate insurance for work performed on customer vehicles. To the extent permitted by South African law, our liability is limited to the cost of the service rendered. We are not liable for consequential loss, loss of use, or damage arising from pre-existing defects not disclosed at booking.

08VEHICLES LEFT UNCOLLECTED

Vehicles left at the workshop for more than 60 days after completion, without payment or communication, may be sold to recover outstanding costs in accordance with Section 82 of the Consumer Protection Act, 68 of 2008. Customers will be notified in writing before any such action is taken.

09INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

All content on this website — including the JK Services name, logo, text, graphics, and layout — is the property of JK Services or its licensors. It may not be reproduced without prior written consent.

10GOVERNING LAW

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any dispute arising from the services provided or these terms will be subject to the jurisdiction of the South African courts.

11CHANGES TO THESE TERMS

We may revise these terms from time to time. The version in effect at the date you book work will apply to that booking. Please review this page periodically.
